Run one audit program, not ten.
For providers and payers, audit and compliance requirements come from multiple directions, including Joint Commission accreditation surveys, internal audits, state licensure requirements, and Medicaid reviews, and other regulatory and contractual obligations. HITRUST and SOC 2 layer on top of that, and each one asks for the same access-control evidence, the same incident-response walkthrough, and the same encryption-at-rest screenshots your last audit already collected, just reformatted for a different audience.
Health tech vendors carry a version that never really pauses. Multiple certifications, recurring assessments, and a queue of enterprise customer security reviews keep the audit calendar running continuously instead of in seasons.
None of these audits are the problem. Each one is real, and each one matters to somebody, an accreditor, an assessor, a regulator, a customer. The waste is in proving the same thing to each of them separately. The opportunity is to simplify how you prepare for them, using a common control and evidence foundation that can be mapped and reused across applicable audits, assessments, and customer requirements.
Meditology consolidates your audit activity into a single operating model that lives inside the systems you already own. Five capabilities make that possible.
Meditology is uniquely positioned to build this crosswalk credibly because our teams work directly across the frameworks, assessments, and assurance requirements it brings together. We don’t just interpret these requirements; we perform much of the underlying work ourselves. We perform the Security Risk Assessment using NIST and HITRUST control sets, run the penetration testing that supports your PCI evidence, hold certified HITRUST External Assessor status, and issue SOC 2 opinions directly through Meditology Assurance, our AICPA-accredited CPA division. We know what each assessor and examiner actually accepts as evidence, because in most cases, we’re the one collecting it.
That breadth means two different things are true on the same page. For the audits Meditology runs directly, your HITRUST validation, your SOC 2 examination, we are the assessor. For everything else on your calendar, a Joint Commission survey, a state review, a customer’s security questionnaire, we’re the buffer between your team and whoever is running it, working from the same control library either way.
No. We are tool-agnostic and configure whatever platform you already own. We can also provide access to our GRC platform if that adds value or can help you with your purchasing journey.
Yes, through separate teams. Independence rules prevent the same team from both advising and auditing a client on the same framework in the same period, not from Meditology doing both. We keep advisory and audit work staffed separately, so a client can get audit-readiness support from one Meditology team and a HITRUST validation or SOC 2 examination from a different, independent Meditology team, without either engagement compromising the other.
Running audits separately means testing and proving the same control multiple times, in different formats, for different reviewers. Completing audits separately can mean demonstrating the same control, such as HIPAA’s access management requirement, five different times, in five different formats, for five different reviewers.. This doesn’t replace any of those audits or certifications. Instead, it builds one common control library and evidence base that sits underneath them, allowing evidence and testing to be reused wherever requirements overlap. The result is less duplication, greater consistency, and a clearer view of where a control gap may create risk across multiple frameworks or compliance obligations.
HIPAA, the HITRUST CSF, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, HICP, OCR Audit Protocol, CMMC, state licensure and Medicaid requirements, Joint Commission accreditation standards, and more. If it’s on your audit calendar, it’s a candidate for the crosswalk.
No. This works alongside your current schedule and doesn’t change the validity of any specific audit or attestation. Most clients adopt it gradually, folding each framework in as its next cycle comes due.
This delivers the most value to organizations managing three or more frameworks, running recurring assessments throughout the year, or feeling the strain of repeated evidence requests across teams, whether you’re a provider, payer, health tech vendor, or business associate.
Engagement typically begins with a short scoping conversation to map the frameworks you report against and the audits on your calendar. From there, we build a control crosswalk tailored to your environment and identify where the fastest wins are.
Schedule a 30-minute conversation to walk through your current audit calendar and find out where a single control library would save you the most time first.
